I had Office 2003 installed on a Windows XP computer.

I got very excited today to install a new copy of Office 2007 and so I
removed the prior installation (of Office 2003).

The problem is that I totally forgot to backup my Outlook profile!!!

I have not installed anything yet; is there any way to recover this still???

BTW, I know that when I do a search for *.pst; I have these files in my
"C:\Documents and Settings\Kevin\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook" folder.

Any help would be appreciated before I start messing around. THANKS!!!

Uninstalling Office/Outlook does not remove you mail profile from the
registry. Start a different Office application and then go to the control
panel and use the "Mail" applet to verify your settings are still there.

I believe that neo's response was eluding to this, but:

FYI: I got inpatient and just backed up anything I could find on my computer
that I thought might be related to old Outlook files and then I installed
Office 2007.

To my joy, I found that when I opened Outlook 2007 for the first time, it
simply integrated all my old information. I'm sure this is how it is designed
to work; just wanted to post this here in case anyone looks for this same
question/solution.
