Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
If your Network Administrator has enabled it, Microsoft Windows can examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings.

i cannot play any audio with Windows media player

do you want help with this???

if so then would you like to divulge some more details about the media player issue!

in regards to the broswer problem, if you've run an UP-TO-DATE anti virus and spy/malware scan of your system, then this issue would have been resolved!

Ok, When i try to open either an audio file or audio Cd in windows media player i get a popup message saying

Windows Media Player has encountered an unknown Error

then it got to options

Close and Web help ive clicked on webhelp and i cannot find anything which is in the subject of audio not playing!

I have downloaded a fresh version of Windows media player 9 XP

and installed it, and still the same message!

If i open the AUdio/cd in another memdia player like quicktime

or even power DVD they work!

Ok i found some new information ou today

it could be the cause for some of the site not to be working, but i dont think its anytthing to do with windows media!

I search google for free online vrius scan and i found this site:

http://www.ravantivirus.com

so i thought its worth a shot to see if it works!

after i click on scan it came up with this message:

Failed to load ActiveX control!
-- You must have administrative rights on this computer;
you also must have the Internet Explorer security settings to the Medium level.

Could there be something wrong with the active X controls?
