I.E. pages won't open

This may be a question for the virus/security NG, but I.E. is affected. I
had a computer man working on my computer today because it seemed I had a
recurring virus that affected a genealogy program. I have WinXP-SP2. I was
using Grisoft AVG. I had put a lot of its detections in its Virus Vault.
The computer man in trying to clean up the computer deleted those things
plus some other things he thought were viruses, and now if I go to open a
program in I.E., the page starts to open but stays blank. This is only with
some things I try to open, not all of them.

If you are using a pop-up blocker, some pages require that pop-ups be
enabled. Temporarily enable the pop-up blocker long enough to see what you
want on that site, then set it back again later.

Thanks, but this is something different. I've experienced the pop-up
blocker situation. These are sites that opened OK before. It's apparently
related to the work the computer man did.

I'm going to try this, thanks a lot. (I have to go out now, will try
later.) But first, I tried to print it, and that is another problem I'm
having since the computer was worked on yesterday: I can't print from OE
or, now I see, from IE either. I have to copy and paste the article into
WordPad and I can print from there! Any ideas what I can do about that?

Hi,
Go to http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm look for the "Blank page"
section.

Since only some pages are affected, your fix may not be on that page. Post
back to this thread if that page doesn't help.
