Not sure when this happened, but on this Win XP driven
computer, Internet Explorer & Outlook Express can connect
fine through cable modem, but all other programs, such as
McAfee, FTP web programs, newgroup readers, etc. cannot
connect. I get the messages that say the computer is not
connected to the Internet. I recently installed a
phoneline network router, but the same thing happens
whether I am connected through the router or dirctly. The
other computers on the network have no problems. I have
checked privacy & connection settings, but cannot find
anything that is too restrictive. I suspect that something
was changed when I installed the router, but ????. Any
ideas?
