As you know, Index.dat file is a store for web related things; the
URL
content cache, cookies, RSS feeds, and visited links.
By the way, I don't want to use that file. My application make out
lots handle for opening 'index.dat' until server is dead. I think
'index.dat' file is corrupted in the case 'index.dat' file is not
closed, when explorer try to write some data to 'index.dat'.

So I don't want to use 'index.dat'. that means everything related
'index.dat' is not allowed.

Do you have any idea? or do I have to set a option at Explorer?

Don't use MS Internet Explorer. Browsers such as Opera, SeaMonkey, and
Mozilla Firefox do not rely on 'index.dat'. Can't use the Windows Update
site without MSIE, though.

Thank you for answering my question. by the way, plz don't say not to
use MS Explorer. My application I made up depends on MS Explorer. I
have to use that. so if Explorer must be related to 'index.dat' as
structure, I'll give up this thought.

Unfortunately, MSFT has designed MS Internet Explorer to use the 'index.dat'
file. That is just the way that MSIE works.
