Hello

I live in Ashtead which is in Surrey in England.

When i type Ashtead in word it automatically corrects the capital A to be
lowercase so it reads ashtead..

I dont want it to do this, how do i stop it please. Thanks

If i type Ash and tead and then delete the space it still does it!

This is caused by AutoCorrect in Word. Note that you can press Ctrl+Z
to undo the "correction" as soon as it occurs. However, to fix it
permanently, do the following: On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect
(or AutoCorrect Options, if you are using a recent version of Word).
In the AutoCorrect dialog box, click the AutoCorrect tab. At "Replace
text as you type", find "Ashtead" in the list of entries; if it is
there, delete it, and then click OK.

It definitely should not do this. My guess is that you need to check in
Tools, AutoCorrect for a rogue entry that changes Ashstead to ashstead.
Delete it.
