I don't know how to set up email

I have a hotmail account and its saying i need an email account but its not
letting me use the hotmail. What do I do and where can I find the correct

Windows Mail was designed to reject Hotmail addresses as it cannot access
http email accounts.
You can either use the newer Windows Live Mail (which can access MSFT http
accounts)
or
You can access the Hotmail POP3 servers (where email is downloaded and
deleted on the server)..
the required settings are here... try 587 for the Outgoing port...

However, Windows Mail is hard-coded to reject Hotmail/Live/MSN accounts.
But you can fool it by entering a fake email address ([email protected]), and
then changing it to your real address ([email protected]).

I'm not sure what is your problem. Can you log on into your hotmail mail
account on hotmail.com site ?
Please give more details.
