I can't switch from Outlook Express to Outlook 2003

Hi, I want to switch from using Outlook Express to using Outlook 2003.
However, when I try to open Outlook 2003 it tries to configure Outlook but
then this message appears: Your Microsoft Exchange server is unavailable. If
I then press "Work Offline" to enter Outlook anyway, it says "Unable to open
your default email folders. Your profile is not configured."
Any ideas what to do?
 
Are you connected to Exchange? eg a Corporate setup not a Home user
I'll assume you are not, with OL closed open Mail applet in the control
panel, delete the profile and create a new profile and configure it for
pop3, not exchange.
