hello.
i just installed my first computer by myself.
and it seems that something is wrong. everytime, when i
turn on the computer, nothing happens. i can see the
computer light turning for a few seconds, and i can see
the chip fan running, but the screen is always in the
hibernation mode.
i always have to open the case, and unplug that one
specifica motherboard energy plug (I think that is what
it is), it has over 10 pins on it. I have to unplug it,
and plug it in the motherboard again.
then the machine will start again.
i tried several times to set the BIOS menu to set the
first boot device as the hard disk. And usually, if i
turn off the computer, and turn it back on in a few
hours. it works perfectly.
but if i turn off the computer, and try to use the next
day. then i will have to go through the whole process
again. oh, after i unplug everything, i noticed that the
computer clock will be set back to january 1st again.
so why is that? is there something wrong with the
motherboard? i am using an AMD chip and a compatible
motherboard.
also, I have tried to take out the inside battery, and
put it back in without unplug that motherboard energy
plug. but that didn't help at all. it seems that the only
way to make my computer to work is to unplug that energy
plug. =(
