Incoming E-mail server: pop.tds.net
Outgoing E-mail server: smtp.tds.net
Your full email address goes in the Account Name field.
Do you have "My server requires authentication" checked?
If so, uncheck it, and try again.

" The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider."
I have set the account up as a POP3 on my DSL, I have my complete user info
in there and have rechecked it a dozen times. I have put it in just as I had
on my old PC with outlook express but on my new Vista, it is not working.
Any ideas?
brnd69 said:Yes, I have tried it both ways, checked and unchecked and get the same
message either way.

brnd69 said:Without changing anything, I got it to work. I followed what a fellow poster
stated about movies, I deleted the email. I sent another plain test email and
it worked! I then retried the email is pics and it worked. It should not
work this way, should it?
