i can't send e-mail

i get this message:'Task pop3- sending' reported error (0x800CC0D)unable to
find the e-mail server. please verify the server information in your account
properties. how many times do i have to set this up? i recieve e-mail fine..i
just cant send any? help please?
 
do you have the SMTP server name correct?

My magic ball says you are using Cox... if using their SMTP server, do you
have the correct server name. If using a different server, does Cox block
the ports?

okay then...that is who i have and if everything is correct why cant i send
e-mail? and cox says they dont support outlook 2003...so now what?

They all say that... outlook 2003 works the same as outlook express or other
versions of outlook, it's just the dialogs may be slightly different or in a
different location.

Are you trying to use the Cox SMTP server? Does it require a username
/password to send mail?
