I can't see my distribution list I just created. In the help section, it
says that it should be listed as a folder under my contacts. I don't see a
folder labeled distribution list. I am using Outlook 2003

State exactly how you created it.

I created by the instructions in the Help Menu
Create a distribution list using names in the Address Book:

On the File menu, point to New, and then click Distribution List.
In the Name box, type a name.
Click Select Members.
In the Show names from the list, click the address book that contains the
e-mail addresses you want in your distribution list.
In the Type name or select from list box, type a name you want to include.
In the list below, select the name, and then click Members. Do this for each
person you want to add to the distribution list, and then click OK.
If you want to add a longer description of the distribution list, click the
Notes tab, and then type the text.

The distribution list is saved in your Contacts folder by the name you give
it.

The distribution list is saved in your Contacts folder by the name
you give it.

And then did you click Save and Close? It should appear in your Contacts
folder alphabetically by the name you gave it. Its icon will be two
silhouettes next to each other in the Address Card view, at the right side
of the entry. Does it show if you change the view to By Category or Phone
List?

Yes, I hit Save and Close. There is no folder named Contacts. There is
something that looks like a biz card that is labeled Contacts, but their is
nothing under that. It is the only thing in the list. I tried to change the
views, but it didn't help.

There has to be. That's where Outlook saves contacts. SOmehow you're not
understanding what you see and since I can't look over your shoulder, I
can't tell what you're viewing either. Try using the Folder List view of
the Navigation Pane, then clickint Contacts from that list.
