I can't save my videos to a movie file!

Why can't I save my movies to a movie file. It's always worked for me before, and all of a sudden it just won't work for me. All the files are in the right places, I have plenty of hard drive space, and I've even tried saving it to my desktop to make sure the saving location exsists. I've tried everything, even calling friends and trying to re-download the movie maker, and it still won't do anything. What can I do to fix it?
 
Have you had a read of www.papajohn.org problem solvings can't save a movie?
It may help for starters, if not try a little more info as to what is
happening.

I am also experiencing an "all of the sudden" problem
saving a Movie File. I'm attempting to save it to "My
Computer" like I always do and it indicates that it's
trying to write a Recordable CD format. At this point it
just sits there (i.e. no % progress) and the number of
minutes remaining is huge. I've been using Movie Maker
for over a year and this just started happening this
week. I've ensured that the save path is my local hard
drive and even tried saving to another hard drive in the
same system to see if that would work, but no luck.

Any ideas?
