Hi everyone.

I'm using Word 2003 and am encountering a minor but annoying
customization problem.

I have two toolbars open: Standard and Formatting. I want to add a
toolbar icon, Edit/Select All.

I did that, and then I went into Modify Selection. I selected the
Text Only (in Menus) option...then, I changed the button image. So,
now there is a red diamond.

Here's the problem: When I shut down Word 2003, the next time I
launch it, the icon is gone.

I tried saving the changes using the Save My Settings wizard, but that
didn't work.

I tried saving the changes, also, as a NORMAL.DOT file, but that
didn't help.

Is there something I'm not doing, that I should? Is there a step I'm
overlooking?

Thank you! Jack D.

If you have Acrobat 7 installed, see the last section of
http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adobe_acrobat_toolbar.htm for one possible
explanation.

I think this solved the problem.

Yes, I have Acrobat 7 and yes, changing the registry did appear to
help. Thank you. Jd
