I can't rename index page

When I try and rename the title of the index page in goes back to "New Page
1" I think it has something to do with the shared borders function but not
sure.

If you are using FP navigation, then change it in Navigation View.

Choose View, Navigation, right-click on the page, choose Properties and type
it in there.
