What happens when you try? What type of account? What version of Outlook?

is correct... (e-mail address removed). BUT....when signing on to this it didn't
accept that address...but it did allow me to sign into Micro Outlook with my
school e-mail...([email protected]) we use Outlook 2003...the same I am
trying to use here at home....can you help me??? Again the problem... I can
send e-mail...nut not receiving it....Ahah...I just checked my school
e-mail..that is where it went...how can I get the mail at home, too...or

Since a Road Runner account can be defined in Outlook as readily as any
other, what do you mean by "Microsoft Outlook" account? You don't send mail
to Outlook. You send it to a mailbox on a server somewhere and Outlook gets
it from that server. That server can be Road Runner's server, Yahoo's
server, ir any other server that accepts mail connections.

SIgning onto what? The original message you posted back in July is no
longer on Microsoft's server.

You can get mail from any server your PC can access. Explain in detail how
you've defined your account, what settings are expected by the server you're
trying to access, and what error messages, if any, you see when you try to
receive messages from that server.

I have a Dell Dimension 2350 which came loaded
with Microsoft Office XP, which included Outlook. I accepted a
trial upgrade to Windows 2003 products and declined to buy the
upgrade after the free trial offer expired. When that expired, my
Outllook features failed to work. I deleted the upgraded software
and re-installed the original software, using the Microsoft Office
XP Version 2002 Service Pack 1. Now my Outlook function allows me
to send new messages , but won't automatically log incoming mail,
and when I hit the "send/receive" button, I get a small window from
Windows Outlook that says "The operation failed" with an "OK"
button. It's definately NOT OK! Can you help me get my business
back in operation????

The first thing to do is start with a new mail profile. See
http://www.howto-outlook.com/Faq/newprofile.htm

Since you had had Outlook 2003 on your machine, I would have mentioned the
difference in PST formats (Outlook 2002 can't read Outlook 2003's PST
format), but since you can send mail, that doesn't seem to be an issue.
