I can't print

I currently use an HP960c printer. I downloaded a driver from HP and installed it. Since that time I can not print. I hooked up an old HP660c that I use to use. XP found it, but I couldn't print to it, either from a cmd prompt or from any program. I removed all HP960c drivers, etc. When I hooked it back up, XP did see it. I tried both cables and printers on a laptop and all work fine. The port is working correctly

Any ideas? Thanks for you help.
 
Meant to say that when I hooked up the HP960c printed back up XP did not see it as it had the 660.
 
You might want to try installing the driver once you've cleaned all the
drivers off then connect the printer when prompted. Double check your port
settings afterward if a test page doesn't print properly
