I can't print from IE either

Ever since I upgraded, I have to keep shutting down and
restarting... it keeps giving me error messages about
Java. Everything else prints fine, just can't print
through IE (and I NEED that, because I'm always having to
print info off the web for my boss). It's becoming really
annoying, wishing I was back to IE 5.

Here is the error message I keep getting. I have no idea
what it means - I'm not a techie, I just use this thing
for work....

res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/preview.dlg

Then it asks me if I want to keep running Java on this
page...

Any ideas how to fix it?

Thanks,
Karen

Can't print from browser, either.

Can't print from browser, neither IE nor Firefox. Different dialogue boxes/errors, same result. And I also have Adobe Acrobat 5.0, which is also assigned as a printer...same problem. Up until about a month ago I could print from browsers. I have found a work around and that is to use PrntScn and copy to Word or Word Pad and then print from that. It works in a pinch. There are a lot of posts to read tp see of anyone has a workable solution. So far reinstalling software hasn't worked. I did find that the printer properties were incorrect for my Lexmark X6150 were incorrect. I fixed that but still have the browser problem. Good Luck! {:^) JT

Hi Karen. I had the same problem. If you are also using firefox with the PDF DOWNLOAD add-on, go to MENU BAR>TOOLS>ADD-ONS>PDF DOWNLOAD and uninstall the PDF DOWNLOAD add-on. Then go to TOOLS>OPTIONS>CONTENT>FILE TYPE and press the MANAGE... toggle button and in the DOWNLOAD ACTIONS dialogue box select the file types column and anything that has to do with ADOBE or PDF choose ACROREAD32.EXE from wherever it is installed on your system...and that MAY solve your problem. It worked for me. It fixed both browsers -Firefox and IE- and the problem that I was having with my printer is solved, also.
GOOD LUCK and HAPPY NEW YEAR one and all!!!!:)
