I have worked before on Access installed on other computers, and understand
the advantage of making a finished database an MDE file, but, now that I have
my own computer and Access program, that option in the Tools menu, Database
Utilities pull-out arrow, is grayed-out. I made the databases on my
computer, and that is where I'm trying to make it MDE (same version!). It is
not a replica, or anything like that--I had never heard about replicated
databases until I searched Help to find out why I can't make MDE files. I
also have not set up any security levels or anything like that--it's just a
basic database (tables, queries, forms, reports, and macros--just like I've
done before) that I want to hide the code for. Thank you!
