I can't invite attendees

I am using Outlook 2007. When I create an appointment and try to invite
attendees the email stays in my outbox and the person I invited gets numerous
emails that have nothing to do with the appointment. What is going on. This
worked great in Outlook 2002.
 
No, the invitee is getting emails related to this invite but they only
contain the words "quit" or "reset and quit"
 
Are those words in the original meeting request? If not, what addins do you
have installed?
 
I figured out the problem. My older version of Outlook 2002 was not
completely uninstalled. I used Windows Install Clean Up to remove it and
reinstalled Office 2007. This fixed the problem. Thanks for you responses.
