Sounds like your profile is corrupt. Create a new one (do not copy the
corrupt one) here:
Control Panel->Mail Icon->Show Profiles->New.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
After furious head scratching, schnekel asked:
| I did a repair and that didn't help either. I re-opened Outlook and
| did a dbl click on an appt for today and I got the message "Unable to
| display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook could not access the
