Hello,

I'm having a problem with trying to share files over an LAN. Now the
family PC which is formatted it FAT32 can be seen my my PC. I can view and
open files or folders set up to be shared. Now on the Family PC I can view
the folders, but I can open files without getting an error. "You might not
have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of
this server to find out if you have access permissions. The list of servers
for this workgroup is not available." is the error I keep getting.

Now I've tried using the Network Wizard on both systems. I can also ping
each system. Both systems are under the same workgroup. Can someone help me
with this problem????

Which operating systems are on the different computers? Are they
all running Windows XP?

Please have a look at http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm.
