I can't get my incoming gmail & the test account settings is fine

I can send from my gmail account and when I test the account settings it says
everything is ok. I followed the microsoft and gmail directions. My incoming
gmail is not showing up anywhere I don't know what to do next.
 
Did you ever find out why this happened and what the solution was? I am
currently having the same issue.

You /have/ set the POP function in gmail settings, haven't you?

Sorry about the delayed response... I must have missed this message in my
inbox. I was using an account I don't access very often.

Anyway, yes, I set the POP function in gmail settings correctly from the get
go.

A few days after initially having these issues w/ my gmail and Outlook I
went back into the gmail settings and re-enabled my POP function and opted to
have my gmail messages forwarded from then on (vs. having all messages in
inbox forwarded too). This seemed to fix the problem. So I guess so far so
good.
