I bought what seems to be an unused P3B-F mobo, it came in a white
box, I expect it's an OEM version. I bought iit because I have a
matching CPU and PC100 memory, case, etc, and needed another machine.
I put memory, CPU , and a video card and a case speaker in it, hooked
up the power button and p/s and fired it up.
Nothing.
When I removed the memory I get a long repeated beep. The Award bios
info sites suggest that this code is a memory problem, which sort of
makes sense since there isn't any.
I pulled the battery out for a few minutes to reset the CMOS. NO good.
One thing I noticed is that the LEDs on the keyboard don't flash dring
POST. That tells me it's not getting very far in the self-test.
All the parts work (asside from the mobo) when when put in other
systems.
I printed out the asus manual. The mobo is set correctly for
jumperless mode.
Any suggestions, or is this mobo a lemon.
Thanks
