I can't even install XPE

At the very end of the component database setup I get two
error messages:

1. An internal error occurred while creating the network
share. LookUpAccountName failed.

2. An error occurred while creating repository share,
return code # 2.

I have a working instance of SQL Server 2000 and I have
set it to Windows and SQL authentication, as noted in the
installation help.

Maybe there's a service pack (again!) I' m missing. Any
ideas?
 
I thought this was fixed in SP1, are you using the RTM version?

This is a bug related to setup trying to give the "Everyone" account
access to the repository share in NON English builds of Full XP. The non
English builds may not have the "Everyone" group, it may be called
something else, so the install fails.
Workaround:

Temporarily create a local group named "Everyone". After "Database
Setup" is complete change the permissions for the "Repositories" share
to allow the built in group access, remove the "Everyone" group from
having share permissions and delete the previously created local group
"Everyone".
