Not only that, I cannot 'change the way someone logs on
to the com[uter', there is a file called ginamsi.dll, the
system tells me this file is stopping me from changing
these things. It is in the windows/system32 foilder and
cannot work out which application it belongs to, the
computer tells me I must remove this program, but I
haven't installed any new programs on the computer. The
file info says that it was created on the day I first
turned on my computer (28/6/03), has anyone heard of this
file or prob before.

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Fix Windows XP Logon. This small
utility will restore the registry entry that's trying to load the
ginamsi.dll file to its correct value.
