I can't delete a specific message - how do I do it?

I have a message in my inbox that is marked as unread. When I try to display
it I get an error message saying that "an unexpected error occured". This
message appears whatever I try to do to this email - delete it, move it,
shred it, throw it out of the window... Does anyone have an idea how to get
rid of it?
 
No, I don't have an answer but am in the same predicament as of yesterday
(9/12) when a message appeared in my inbox and also can't be displayed. I've
read one suggestion on here but it hasn't worked for me. This is very
exasperating! I hope someone can tell you and me a "fix" for this soon.

Microsoft has issued a fix:
Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista

It also works on other folders.
