What happens when you try to receive mail in Outlook?

I have both MS Ofice Outlook and Outlook Express installed. However Express is off line. Before Express went offline I was able to receive email and then export to to MS Office Outlook. Now, simply nothing happens with Office Outlook when I receive email; it is received in my provider's mailbox, but does not travel to Office Outlook. I suspect some kind of setting needs to be made in Office Outlook, but I don't know what to do. Thanks for any assistance.

Have you correctly specified your account setting in Outlook?

I believe I have. I can now import messages from my email provider but I am
hoping that I can have messages delivered directly to MS Office Outlook.
Isn't Office Outlook suppose to do that.

Thanks very much for your assistance.

Well, it certainly does for thousands of other people, including me. Have
you tried importing your Outlook Express account settings with File>Import
and Export>Import Internet Mail Account Settings?
