I cannot get to any web sites

hi, I need help. I can connect to my isp but I cannot use
e-mail or can I get to any web sites. can anyone help me?
 
if you are using a firewall. might give the setting there a check.

Assumes WinXP in absence of information. First run the network
connection wizard even if you have already done so. Second, open TCP/IP
settings for the connection, General tab, Advanced button, Options tab,
TCP/IP filtering properties, Check Enable then select Permit All.
