I cannot get pdf files to work in FP 2003 using WEB 66? I tried the
instructions in Microsoft Office Assistance- Hyperlinking to Adobe- with no
luck.

Give us the detailed steps you took to link to the file, and what problems
you are having.

I created a pdf. file, I named it simply app.pdf , then in my opened website I
I clicked file -import- app.pdf- and it appeared in my folders view. Then I
highlighted the text I wanted associated with the pdf link and created a
hyperlink, searched for the file name in website folder and clicked o.k save.
I use the steps I do for other (non-pdf) links which worked in the past. When
I go to that link in I.E it just shows the icon place holder?

This computer has Adobe Reader 7.01 and it does not display properly I also created the file with Adobe Reader 7.01 already installed?

Post the URL so we can look at the problem.

The issue is with Adobe and/or IE, not Frontpage.

I have seen this issue over in the Internet Explorer newsgroups.

Normally an installation problem with Adobe Reader.

Yes, it's an Adobe Reader problem. I uninstalled 7.07 and installed 5.05 and it works fine. I wish I did that 3 hours ago. I also realize anybody with 7.07 will not be able to get to the link.

I have 7.07 on several computers, and have no problems.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the full version, not from an update, normally
clears up the proboem.

7.07 upgrade can be flaky
- I had it fail on 1 of 3 pcs (locked up pc whenever PDF opened)
- needed to restart the PC several time and finally download reinstall it a 2nd time
