I cannot get my email account passwords to save in Outlook 2000: W

I just got a new PC, the ME install of Outlook worked great, now, since
re-installing and getting all SPs, no matter how many time I modify my email
accounts, I cannot get the password to "stick." I save, go back, the password
field is empty again, altho I told it to SAVE the password.

Also-- any way to get all my mail from the old machine into my new machine's
Outllook? Any help appreciated.

Thanks. I'll try that when I get home this evening. In the mean time, I'm
open to other suggestions that don't require using regedit. Scares me!
