The easiest way that I've found to delete the copies is to go to the folder
containing the pictures. Then click View, Details. Press the letter C to
take your cursor to files beginning with that letter. If this file is named
Copy of, then start here and if not, use your down arrow key to get to the
first "copy of" file that you want to get rid of. With this file
highlighted, press and hold the Shift key and then hold your down arrow
until you are at the last "copy of" file. You can also use the page down
key to get there a bit faster. Do not release the Shift key until all of
the files that you want to remove are highlighted. Do NOT touch the mouse!
Once all of these files are highlighted, press the Delete key on your
keyboard.
You can also do a search for the copies (Start, Search, Pictures, music or
video, then type "copy of" where it asks for All or part of the file name.)
When the files are found, if you want to delete them all, click Edit, Select
all and then press your Delete key.
In the future, take care to release the mouse button after clicking on one,
before moving to the next one. Not releasing the mouse before moving the
mouse creates the copy.
