Hello,

This is quite easy with OE6 at XP.
You simply open up OE, go to option, and change the store folder.
The only you need to do after all is done is logout and re-logon again.
And your store folder will be changed.

But I just cannot do this at Windows Mail.
I guess it could be again limited by the access right.
But I am using Administrator account.

Any idea would be appreciated.

there WAS a bug in the address it assigns after you change the address.
causing it to not work.
its almost impossible to move the store folder for safe keeping, reinstall and have it use the moved store.
if that is yoru intent. best to wait till it is released, it might work better then.

If you are not using RC2, then there is a bug in that the value in the
registry is not set correctly when you move the folder. I haven't tested
yet to see if this is fixed in RC2. It supposedly is.

What version of Vista are you using and what is the error message you are
getting when you try and move? How are you moving the store?

Steve,

No, I do not have the disc yet, and I am using RC1.
I could not find RC2 on Microsoft site.
Someone said it is only available through their site for a limited time.
I recken that be true.

The way I changed is really similar to OE6.
I opened up Windows Mail.
Go to Tools => Option => Advanced Tab => Maintenance => Store Folder.
I was able to change the folder here by creating a new folder.

The message that popped up was "Your store folder will not be changed until
you shurdown Windows Mail".

I then closed everything.
Logout as OE6 at Windows-XP.
But the did not change.
I even repeated the same by restarting Vista instead of logging out.
Nothing changed still.

As said by most people and you, it is supposed to be fixed in RC2.
I need to run and find RC2 first to see the latest fix first.

Thanks anyway.

Work with RC2 Steve just tested it made a folder on the desktop and moved it
there...it works as that is the folder showing in Windows Mail settings.
