I am trying to connect to several printers from our DMZ to our LAN.
When I go through the add printer wizard I can see all the printers
when I browse but when I try to connect to one I get an error message
that the server "Could not connect to the printer. You either entered a
printer name that was incorrect or the specified printer is no longer
connected to the server."
I can browse through the network neighborhood and see all the computers
that have printers attached to them but when I try to view shares I get
a message that the network path was not found.
This is a win2k server connecting to winxp pro computers in a workgroup
environment. I was able to connect to the printers just fine when the
server was on the LAN.
While trying to get this set up I opened all ports from the DMZ to the
LAN to see if there was something on the firewall blocking things. Once
I get the connection problem fixed I need to know what ports to keep
open to maintain connectivity.
