I CAN RECEIVE MESSAGES, BUT I CANNOT SEND MESSAGES

I CAN RECEIVE MESSAGE , BUT CANNOT SEND, TRIED EVERYTHING, BUT THE PROBLEM
CONTINUES. HAVE WINDOWS XP, AND OUTLOOK 2003.

It problem can be more readily solved by talking to your ISP.
 
Same problem here. Email worked with outlook office 2000. Soon as I
upgraded to office/outlook 2003 I can receive but not send. The test
settings emails work fine...real ones don't. All the pop3 settings seem
correct and the same as before.
-Sending' reported error (0x800CCC67):' The server responded: 421
out008:verizon.net Lost connection to[151.197.31.106]

Try posting to an appropriate group, then.
This has nothing to do with Outlook Contacts.

It seems like several people have hit this problem. For me I had to fill n
my mail address in the From field for my email server to take the message.
Now it works fine.

Anyone know how I can get this field filled in automatically?

As it turned out I added myself as a contact so I can put my email address in
the from field without retyping it everytime 4tehwin. So it kinda came back
to contacts sorta. Thanks though.
