I can ping websites but can't view them with IE6

Here's the problem : I know my LAN card is working cauz I
can easily ping some websites like www.google.com, but I
can't see them in IE6. That is not a DNS problem, I
think. What should I try to make it work ??

Do you have a firewall activated on your computer that
block http port 80 ?
 
Hi Weever - Is it only Search-type sites that you can't reach? What
specifically happens?
