I can not send or receive to my Outlook.

My tests go through successfully and show up in my adelphia mail box but not
in Outlook. I would like to receive and send all emails in Outlook.

Would it be that adelphia does not allow relaying to my outlook? Please see
answer below for someone that simular problem


EarthLink does not allow relaying. You must use EarthLink's SMTP server
(smtpauth.earthlink.net) as your outgoing mail server.

EarthLink does not allow relaying. You must use EarthLink's SMTP server

are you connecting to the internet using Adelphia? (if using EarthLink to
connect to adelphia servers, they won't allow access to other SMTP servers -
you'll need to use EarthLink's SMTP)

are you authenticating with it?

I'm using Adelphia to connect to internet. Have talked to there tech's and
have followed theirinstructions. They have told me that the problem is with
outlook.

The reference to earthlink was a reply to the exact same issue as a posting
I found back in July. I thought the problems were related and I needed a
different address that adelphia may not have been supplying me. I included
the final response as reference, I'm assuming it solved the ladies issue that
earthlink did not allow relaying. The person included the correct SMTP
servers.

Adelphia rep is telling me to use "mail. adelphia. net" for incoming and
outgoing Server info in outlook's email accounts.

Also in researching under microsoft help, it tells me to go to Tools >
Send/Receive. I do not see a send receive option under my tools. This was
also part of the other posting problems.

I do not have the SPA checked - if that is what you mean by "are you
authenticating with it"
