Every time I try to import an Excel Spreadsheet I get an error window with
the following:
"The wizard is unable to access information in the file 'c:\folder\file.xls'
Please check that the file exists and is in the correct format.

Chris,
this is a bit of a vague error message from Access.
It could be related to how the spreadsheet is set up.
Try this:
Unhide all rows and columns.
Unmerge any merged cells.
Clean up the worksheet:
put the cursor in A1 then hit Ctl+ Shift + End
If the selected area is bigger than the rows and columns you wish to import,
delete all the extra rows and columns.

Try importing again.

I get this when security isn't correct to access the file r/w/e or it was
converted from a previous format. I then saved it back to old
format/version and it worked.
