I can no longer edit or add new appointments in Outlook?

From today I am no longer able edit or add new appointments in Outlook 2003.
If I click on "New Appointment" nothing happens or if I double-click on an
existing one, nothing happens. Any idea why?
 
Cured, if not exactly solved. I'd been hitting "snooze" repeatedly for a
particular reminder for the past 5 days. Hit "dismiss" this morning when the
reminder came up and now I can create new appointments and edit old ones.
