I got a pop up asking me if I wanted to upgrade to a new
release of MS Spyware, but when the "upgrade started, it
was not a MS upgrade. Is this a "BOGUS" Upgrade by some
spyware hackers?

I've only seen this dialog once. It was a blue and white popup, similar in
size, shape, and positioning, to the window which Microsoft Antispyware
opens when doing a scheduled scan. It had Microsoft Antispyware update
icons in it, and, in my case, didn't do anything that I can spot yet!

When you make the statement that the upgrade was not a MS upgrade, what do
you mean?
