Hey,

I'm new to these forums so bear with me. I recently bought an i-buddie USB 2.0 HDD housing (3.5'') and am having some troubles installing/using it. I have installed the driver(s) and although windows (XP home) says it is working I can't seem to be able to send anything to the 120GB hdd i have installed in it. Any ideas what i'm doing wrong????

Plus I appear to have not received a 'user guide' so if anyone has a copy they can e-mail or post I would be extremely grateful. Thanks

Dan

You may not have "partitioned" the hard drive, or formatted it. Does it appear in Windows Explorer at all?

Nothing shows in windows explorer at all, I haven't formatted it or partitioned it as can't see any way of getting into it or how to do this.

???

Thanks

Hey,

One more thing, I have looked into the device manager and the driver used for the USB mass storage device is a microsoft driver and the device's status is operating fine--just wondering what I have to do to be able to write to it???---how do i partition or format--i want it to work as a media storage device---i.e, a new drive called f: for example that I can send video and audio files to???????

Any help would be great

Cheers

Dan
