Why are the 45 and 78 carts legendary?

I just got a 970 and it uses those carts, so any refill-info would be
usefull to myself.

They can be refilled a lot of times and get a lot of ink.
The 56 and 57 if U see them they very very small.
Unfortunately the new Hp printers use the new "demo" carts.

#45 and #78 are legends HP wont stop making them they released the 9300 A3
with those carts :-)
I have 3 Deskjets running them great Photos
#45 or #15 refills 10 X
#78 X 5 times
I use WJ1010 pigment black
for color I only use Inktec one of the best www.inktec.com
try here for refill tips http://www.alotofthings.com/
plenty more us google

As I know there are only three new model HP printers with 45/15 and 78
cartridges:
3820
6122
9300 (A3)

The DeskJet 6127 is a current printer introduced a the same time as the 6122.
The DeskJet 995 is still offered as well. Both these printers use the 45/78
cartridge combination. Details can be seen at the following:

Bob Headrick, not speaking for my employer HP.

Finally, someone else with the 6122. I bought it for the duplexing
feature. I've always owned Canons but took a leap over the outrageous
ink costs for duplexing.

I don't really want to refill and I've had 3 bad color cartridges from
PrintPal fail. Where do you get your ink? Right now it's sitting,
useless, because it won't accept the PrintPal color cartridge as the
correct cartridge.

Also can you address the photo paper issues with me? I used to buy the
inexpensive Staples glossy paper. With this printer and the 45 & 78 ink,
I'm forced to use HP's high priced paper.

This is getting old. I never had problems like this with my Canons.
What's your mileage been?
