I am using mp3 fileswhich work with 98 but not xp, how can I get

I am using frontpage 2003 and using mp3 files created on audicity, These
file can be heard using 98 but not xp
 
Do you have a player associated with .mp3 files installed under XP?

why would that be? Mp3 files should be playable on any Operating system
with the media player that can play MP3.
