I have closed the email program Outlook. In the system tray, the outlook
icon is still there. I look in the task bar under processes and Outlook.exe
is still running.
I am unable to find an answer. Is there a corrolation between Office Live
that put software on that disallows me to close Outlook? I would like to
resolve not being able to close Outlook.

HOW do you close Outlook?

Maybe what you are actually doing is minimizing Outlook to a tray icon.

Outlook needs a few seconds after closing (not minimizing) to finish writing
to your PST. If it takes longer than that, there may be a third party add in
that holds Outlook open. Common causes are synch software (for a hand held),
antivirus, FAX software, etc.
