i am not able to find any desktop icon and task bar in windows 2000 professional

Hi Tto Groups Members,
This is uday i encountered one problem in windows 2000 professional
can any body tell me exact solution to my problem.
Problem:
os:windows 2000 Professional with service pack 4
i am not able to find any desktop icons and taskbar at start up.When
start up only my documents page is opening using that only present i
am using my system.once i closed that page i am not able to open even
single file and also windows button not working .i dont know how to
slove this problem.plz anybosy slove this problem

Hi Uday,

Can you try going into safe mode and tell me if you are getting your
desktop icons.
