PJ,

Did you do an upgrade from 2000 pro to XP? If you have the 2k cd, reboot
your computer w/ boot from cd/dvd selected and do a full installation. XP
Pro is built on 2k pro with some new features including IIS 6.0. What are
your "issues" with XP?

Well, technically it's IIS 5.1. IIS 6.0 is only available on Windows Server
2003.

As PJ indirectly notes, the only uninstall that is provided is if you
upgrade from 9x. Upgrades from NT/2000 do not provide uninstall, so you have
to do a clean installation and start over from scratch. The very thought of
doing so sends shivers down my spine (a few hours a week with my Windows
2000 Virtual Machine is enough to remind me why I like XP so much).

Greetings --

There is no "rollback" to Win2K.

If you want to replace WinXP with an earlier OS, you're certainly
entitled to do so, as long as you've purchased a legitimate copy of
that earlier OS.

To replace WinXP with an earlier OS, you'll have to boot from the
appropriate boot disk, format the hard drive, and install. There is
no supported downgrade path or technique.

Simply boot from the Win2K installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and/or format the system partition as
part of the installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the
order of boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
