i am logged on, ie6 will not view any web pages

Hey guys

I have Windows XP. Using verizon DSL. I am connected to the internet but when i open ie6 it opens, but it doesn't load a web page and sometime when i hit enter the address i typed disappears altogether. Can you help me?

Something new, or just since you hooked-up the DSL?
Got DNS server(s) in your TCP/IP properties?
 
nothing new. i have installed zone alarm. even if i disable zone alarm. nothing happens in the browser.
