Hi, Kristen.
i didnt set up an
alternate email address what can i do?
I'm sure that you will next time so that this doesn't happen again. This
newsgroup is dedicated to Microsoft Access database security questions, so
this isn't the place to go for definitive help on your Windows Live ID
account. However, a few things to try:
1.) Ensure cookies are enabled.
2.) Ensure Internet Privacy is set to medium.
3.) Ensure pop-ups are unblocked.
4.) Ensure Windows XP firewall is enabled (if you have Windows XP).
5.) If and only if the Windows XP firewall is enabled, disable any other
installed software firewall while you're logged into your Windows Live ID
account and then re-enable again when you're done. (And don't forget to put
the other settings back the way they were, too.)
If that doesn't work, alter the cookie setting. Here's Microsoft's advice
for that:
To configure your browser to allow cookies:
1.) In Windows Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet
Options.
2.) Click the Privacy tab, and then click Advanced.
3.) Select the Override automatic cookie handling check box.
4.) If you're using a shared computer, select the Always allow session
cookies check box.
- or -
If you're using a private computer, under First-party Cookies, click
Accept.
5.) Click OK, and then click OK again.
Close the browser, then open a new one and navigate to your login Web page
and try to sign in again. My guess is that as soon as cookies are enabled
the right way, you'll suddenly become recognized as the correct authorized
user. Good luck.
HTH.
