Being the member of the LS3/5a club myself, I would not say I am shocked, the fact is they are the the rarest of the LS3/5a's on the planet. Chartwell, a brand of Swisstone was closed down within the first two years of coming into production and all assets were taken over by Rogers, again no more. Chartwell and Audiomaster were the first to produce these speakers under licence from the BBC.
The price I indicated was for normal teak finish and not rosewood finish which in fact sold for almost twice as much, sorry about the mistake.
Some die hard fans of LS3/5a's consider the particular speaker to be the best of the best LS3/5a's ever produced.
