I am disconnected from dial-up firewalled & aol.

Everytime I logged on to computer, the dial-up connection
prompt would appear, instead of me just being able to
sign-on to aol. I disconnected the dial-up connection to
avoid this prompt from appearing. Now I cannot get into
aol or internet explorer. Everytime I log on Hotbar.com
appears. The dial-up firewalled and aol are both
disconnected in "Network Connections" Am I making sense?
